How products are chosen

We start from published UK tests (for example Which?, Ideal Home, Trusted Reviews, Expert Reviews and national newspapers) and manufacturer specifications. We only include models we can find on sale in the UK. We rank on how well each product does its job, running cost, noise or comfort, ease of use and value. Every guide lists its sources.

No hands-on testing

We don’t test products ourselves. We never claim to have done so, and we don’t invent ratings, measurements or reviews. Where a figure isn’t published, we say “n/a” rather than estimate it.

Money and independence

We earn commission from some links, labelled Ad. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Rankings are decided before links are added, and commission never changes them. No brand pays to be included. See our affiliate disclosure.

Corrections

If you spot a mistake, email [email protected]. We check every report, correct factual errors promptly, and note significant changes in the guide’s changelog with the date.

How we use AI

We use AI-assisted tools to help gather, organise and draft information. A person chooses the products, checks prices, specifications and claims against the cited sources, and decides what is published. AI tools don’t test products and aren’t used to invent reviews, ratings or figures.
